Yes! The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble will once again be presenting their classic patriotic sounds before the start of the 2016 Fireworks Show! The 75-member ensemble charmed our spectators last year and are eagerly awaited again at Bar K Recreation Park! Under the baton of Conductor Robert Laguna these expert musicians will perform a collection of beautiful and rousing marches and patriotic tunes just prior to the launch of our Fireworks Show! Bring your flags and wave them as they move us with their unique performance!
For nearly 40 years a group of patriotic citizens of Lago Vista have put forth their efforts to bring a 4th of July celebration to the North Shore of Lake Travis that rivals Austin firework shows. From droughts to floods and other challenges the celebration has continued. In 1993, the Lago Vista 4th of July Council was formed and in 1998 we became an official 501 C-3 non-profit organization. We continue to organize this wonderful event today. We invite you to learn more about the history of our 4th July Celebration and the Lago Vista 4th of July Council, Inc., its members and how we rely on the generosity of our non-profit organizations, business and residents to make sure that every year we are able to join as friends and neighbors and gape in awe at the splendor of our fireworks
