Hills and Spokes Family Bicycle Rally

 

What:

5K bicycle rally. The race will begin when riders have completed their registration. Families will ride as individual groups, while individuals may go at their own leisure.

Cost is $25 for a family of two or more persons. Individual costs are $15 and children under 12 are $10.

Fees include the 2008 official 4th of July T-shirt, schedule of eents for the entire day and prize or two.

From Austin take either 183 or I35 to FM 1431 west toward Lago Vista. Turn right at Bar K Ranch Road and follow the signs UP UP UP Airport Hill.

What Type: Bicycle rally
When: 8:00am (registration) on July 4th at the far end of the Bar K Road, past the entrance to the airport. Parking is available in the seven culde sacs after the Bison entrance on Bar K Road.
What Time: Registration begins 8:15am - race starts at 8:30

Route:
  • Begins at the end of Bar K Road,
  • Proceeds to the second intersection, Bison Trail where a LVPD vehicle will be posted.
  • Turn left on Bison Trail to Rawhide Trail.
  • Turn right and go to the end of the road (PEC lines in evidence).
  • Turn left at the end of the road onto Ramrod Trail, continuing to Red River Cove.
  • Turn left to Rawhide Trail.
  • Turn right, continuing to Bar K Road, where you turn right, going to the start/finish line
