The 2008 Parade Theme is "It's a Grand Ol' Flag". Judging willl be determined accordingly.

(1) Please enter an e-mail address. A confirmation of your entry form will be sent to the e-mail address you provide as will the notification of where to park
in the staging area and your spot in the parade.

(2) Information is required so that we can best organize the lineup for the parade. Please estimate the total length of your parade entry in feet, including all trucks, cars, trailers, animals, walkers, etc.
(3) Please include approximate counts for each of the various items such as people, vehicles, animals, etc. in your parade entry. For example, if you have one truck and twenty people, you would enter "1 truck, 20 people".
(4) Please do not toss candies or other giveaways at parade observers, and please do not encourage observers, especially children, to walk the Parade route in an attempt to get your giveaways. We love candies, but the Lago Vista 4th of July Council reserves the right to restrict distribution of candies other than wrapped pieces to be gently tossed toward the curb.
(5) Please provide any information about your entry that you would like to have mentioned by the parade masters of ceremonies. Examples of the type of information that would be appropriate to include would be a general description of your entry, number of members, number of persons on your float, or any special theme. Other types of information might include information about any animals (breed age, etc.) or vehicles (make, model, year, etc.). If your entry is a police, fire, or EMS entry, please include information about the vehicle(s) in the parade and who is riding in the vehicle(s). Other good information might include the number of years you or your group has been involved in the parade or how long your organization has existed, any recent or past special awards presented to your organization, or anything else that you feel might be of interest to the public observing the parade. Due to the number of entrants in the Parade, please limit the amount of information to that which could be announced in approximately 30 seconds or so. If you would like to write a specific script that you would like the announcer to follow, please feel free to do so. It's your 30 seconds of fame - use it!

(6) You or your group may put on a short (three-minutes or less) performance at the master of ceremonies location near the start of the parade and at the master of ceremonies/judging location near the end of the parade if you would like to do so. If you or your group plan to perform during the parade, please provide a brief description of the performance.
