Floats: Assigned Parking (St. Mary's Church)
Come for the parade at 10:00 a.m. and for the rest of the fun at Bar-K til 11:15p.m., leave your car parked behind Dawn Drive between Thunderbird and Canyon, and board the three (and starting at 4:30 p.m., a total of six!) air-conditioned CapMetro buses and ride in comfort to the park for the entire day and night's events.

Park it! Ride it! Simple, and it’s all due to the thoughtfulness of CapMetro. Beginning immediately after the parade three buses will begin taking riders to the Bar-K Recreational Park from the parade route. The largest parking lot for the event is the roadway parallel to Dawn Drive, behind the judges’ stand. This parking lot continues all the way up the hill to City Hall and the Lago Vista Library. (Please do not park in front of the fire station.) After the parade, riders may also park their personal vehicles on Dawn Drive.) Bus pickup Veterans' Park on Thunderbird.
Two additional parking lots, with bus pickup/drop off stops, are available at
the Lago Vista High School/Middle School and the
Lago Vista Chamber of Commerce on Bar K Road. It is estimated that these three
spots total some 500 parking spaces.
Some 150 parking spots are available at the Bar-K Park for persons coming to the festivities early. It is not known if parking will be available along the shores of Lake Travis. Don't count on it!
So, plan ahead if you are coming for the night's events and entertainment. Should all these lots be filled, a CapMetro supervisor will inform you of additional parking lot locations. At 6:00 pm an additional three buses will join the fleet. You will love the bus fare...FREE!…and please be sure to say “thank you” to the driver! (And, air-conditioned!) The drop off and pickup point at the Bar K Recreational Park is in front of the Bar-K Clubhouse next to the tennis courts.
The K-Oaks parking lot will open at 5:30 p.m. for diners and music enthusiasts.
Disability, Vendors, Entertainers, Security Officers, Council Members Parking
Designated Parking will be restricted to persons working in the booths, entertainers, security officers, Council members and those having a disability card or 55 years and older. Parking passes for these groups are available at Coldwell Banker, S. G. Billings, Realtors on Lohman Ford.
Sports Teams
Please park and ride from the aforementioned lots.
Emergency Personnel Parking
Fire and emergency medical personnel park in front of the Bar K-Rec Center.
