Carter Tannehill invites you to participate in the lago Vista 4th of July tennis tournament. Carter is presently ranked in the top 10 of championship level players in his age group (60-64) in the state of Texas in singles, doubles and mixed doubles and plays at level 4.0 in several adult leagues. He represented the State of Texas in the National Senior Games in Louisville Kentucky this past June as the Gold Medal winner in the 60-64 singles and the Silver winner in 55-59 mixed doubles in the state of Texas.

You are invited you to participate in the Lago Vista 4th of July Tennis Tournament with doubles and mixed doubles to be held on Friday, July 4th and singles to be held on Saturday July 5th. Doubles will start at 9 am and mixed doubles will start at 2 pm at the Bar-K Recreational Park. Singles will be played at the courts across the Bar-K Ranch road from the high school and start at 9 am on Saturday. First match times will be provided by email or phone by Wednesday July 2nd.

It's not too early or too late to register

Entry fee of $20 per player (or $10 for participants under age 12) entitles you to an official 2008 4th of July Council T-shirt, plus balls and water will be provided. The entry fee is per player regardless of the number of events you care to sign up for.

Events for Friday July 4th include both men's and women's doubles; and mixed doubles. Events for Saturday July 5th include both men's and women's singles. The format for all events will be 2 sets with no-add scoring and a 10 point tie breaker 3rd set in case of a split.

Levels of play include: novice to 3.0 USTA Rated (C Level); 3.5 to 4.0 USTA Rated (B Level); 4.5 to Open USTA Rated (A Level). The level for youth-aged participants is for youngsters under 13 years of age. Super-Senior level includes those 54 years of age and older.

Events and levels of play will be combined depending on the number of entries. The order of play will be men's and women's doubles, followed by mixed doubles. With singles being held Saturday. You are welcome to play in more than one event, with no additional fee required.
